The Parish Council is trying to get together a group of volunteers for a Community Speedwatch project in Tresillian. We need at least six volunteers for the project to go ahead. If we can recruit enough people, we will pass the contact details of volunteers to the police, who will provide training and equipment. If you are concerned about speeding through the village and are able to spare the time to take part, please contact the Parish Clerk.
Following the recent elections, there are now three vacant seats on St Clement Parish Council. The Parish Council would like to hear from any public-spirited members of the community who have the time and energy to commit to this rewarding but unpaid role. There are no special qualifications required, but knowledge of the local area and an ability to get along with people from all walks of life are useful. If you are interested being co-opted as a Parish Councillor, please contact the Parish Clerk for further details about what is involved and how to apply.
The Annual May meeting of St Clement Parish Council will take place on Wednesday 17th May 2017 at the Parish Hall in St Clement Village at 7.30pm. Although the Parish Council normally meets on the last Wednesday of every month, the May meeting will take place earlier than usual because this is an election year. If you would like to make any comments or ask any questions about items on the agenda, there is a 15 minute public participation session allowed for this at the very start of the meeting (maximum 3 minutes per speaker). There is no right for the public to speak once the meeting proper has started, but you are welcome to stay and observe and to leave quietly at any time during the meeting.
